Apparently three time’s a charm for a motorist who finally got caught for his devious gas crimes.

In Fort Worth, Texas a police officer noticed for the third time the same Cadillac stopped on the side of the road. He finally acted on his suspicions and went up to the driver to ask what was wrong with the car.

The driver said his starter didn’t work, but when the officer asked the man to start the car it worked just fine.

The funny thing about this story is that right as the car starts up another motorist pulls up with a full gallon of gas. The motorist was helping the Cadillac owner, who had “run out of gas” and was stranded.

If you’re a rich celebrity, you recently won a million dollars on a game show or you found a winning lottery ticket in the trash, you might not be too worried about the high cost of fuel today.

But many of us average people are getting hit hard by gas prices. And some of us are going are going to extremes to get free or reduced gas.

I recently read an article on Yahoo! News that mentioned a few things that people are doing for free gas:

  • Clients at the Shady Lady Ranch brothel in Nevada who spend $300 will receive a $50 gas voucher.
  • Thieves in Texas are robbing church busses of their fuel.
  • People who give blood to the American Red Cross are entered to win free gas for a year.

Catch a Criminal, Get Free Gas!

Nowadays gas costs an arm and a leg and crime is running rampant. I think that criminals are even beginning to do their “business” close to home so they can just walk there and avoid buying gas.

Paying less for fuel and reducing crime is at the top of everyone’s list, so one way that local authorities in Tacoma, Washington are addressing these problems is by offering free $250 gas cards to anyone with information that could lead to an arrest of a wanted criminal. That’s in addition to a reward, which can reach up to $1,000.

Here’s the Crime Stoppers website where you can find the list of criminals.

What a great idea! There’s no better feeling in the world knowing that you put a criminal behind bars and used the money you saved on not buying gas for overpriced groceries instead!
