I’ve always been a fan of British humor, so I decided to see what the British think about global warming and climate change.
Here’s a video taped in London 2007 on the National Day of Action, which is December 8. See the funny reasons why some Britains are protesting for the environment:
I came across a company called CharityUSA.com that does a world of good deeds…literally. They own and operate a list of websites that are part of the GreaterGood Network, which offers online users a way to help people and animals around the world who are in need.
Part of going green involves supporting a sustainable planet, and we can’t have a healthy planet when the people and creatures living in it are suffering.
That’s why these websites are so great: they let you extend your helping hand to people who you would never get a chance to meet in your lifetime, but who would be forever thankful for your help.
When I was in high school I didn’t like the idea of dissecting a poor, defenseless frog. But I must say that I never went as far as 19-year old CutoutDissection.com did.
Yes, CutoutDissection.com is her new name, but her real name is Jennifer Thornburg. She’s also interning at peta2.
Jennifer wanted to make a statement by legally changing her name to something that would “stand out” to people. Or maybe “leap out,” like a frog.
Batman has Robin. Cheech has Chong. Turner has Hooch. KAB Man (Keep America Beautiful Man), a superhero who battles polluters around the world has…no one.
In this episode KAB Man has to choose a partner. But is choosing between a beloved Native American and a gorgeous supermodel as easy as it looks?
See for yourself:

Now I’ve heard of some strange things people have done in the name of conservation, such as building rooftop solar panels out of beer bottles to conserve energy, but I never thought that a Burger King employee would go out of his way, on his birthday, to conserve water by bathing in the restaurant’s sink.
This is an actual story that happened in Xenia, Ohio. The teenager dumps water on himself from a bucket labeled “sanitary solution” in the very sink where utensils are cleaned. (I hope that he’s not sitting on a spatula).
When an artist writes a song, there’s usually some hidden meaning or message behind it that no one but the artist knows. For all we know the song could be about an ex, a pet dog or that guy bagging groceries in the local supermarket.
I personally think that many songs, or whole albums, could be about the environment. So I chose a few albums to help convey the eco-message of that artist.
