Go Green: Eat Kangaroo Instead of Beef?

In an article in BBC News, Dr. George Wilson, an Australian scientist, has come up with a grand solution to reduce Australia’s carbon footprint: eat more kangaroo.

Apparently the sheep and cattle that are herded for livestock in Australia account for 11% of the country’s methane gas production, no thanks to their continuous belching and gas-passing.

That’s a lot of toxic gas!

But kangaroos produce very little methane gas because they have completely different digestive systems.

And they are the perfect alternative to traditional cow burgers.
