I introduced you to organic Justin Timber-Land-O-Lakes butter in “If Celebrities Endorsed Organic Food Products Part 1,” and organic Condoleezza Rice-A-Roni in “If Celebrities Endorsed Organic Food Products Part 2,” and now I have a whole new set of organic celebrity products.
I think they’re the best so far…

Did you know that Pamela Anderson is Canadian? And that she is planning to build an 83-unit, eco-friendly condominium-townhouse development near her grandparents’ property in Ladysmith, Canada?
Yeah, I didn’t either.
But according to this article from the Canada.com network, all of this is true, and some of the green features of the development will be:
- A geothermal heat exchange system
- Pavement that is water-permeable
- A recirculating pond and stream to prevent heavy runoff
This isn’t the only green project Pamela is planning.

Most people get their protein from meat, but did you know that you could go meat-free and also get it from bugs…like a beetle?
Well, you can get knowledge about protein from a different kind of beetle.
According to Paul McCartney, a pop culture icon from the legendary rock and roll band The Beatles, you don’t have to eat meat to be healthy.
A vegetarian for many years, McCartney is asking for all Britons to adopt “Meat-Free
Mondays,” which is apparently popular in Australia.
He says this will reduce the environmental impact of cattle rearing and help protect the planet.
Here’s the full article.
McCartney is the latest star to wear a “Eat No Animal” t-shirt for a PETA advertising campaign.
Now what I don’t understand is why McCartney and Yoko Ono don’t get along, since they both are vegetarians.
Maybe all the lack of “red” meat has them “green” with vegetable envy.

In my opinion, the original American Gladiators t.v. show was one of the best Saturday morning shows of the late eighties and early nineties. The recent relaunch of the show this past year with Hulk Hogan and Lailia Ali is a weak attempt to revive the original series, and the one time I watched it I was very disappointed.
But what if the Gladiators themselves did something interesting besides show off their muscles, like take part in the green movement? Then the show would be worth watching.
So what I did was create my vision of the Gladiators if they were green. It’s kind of like my “If Celebrities Endorsed Organic Food Products” Part 1 and 2 entries…but on steroids.

An avid recycler, Crush uses her muscular arms to crush soda cans before she takes them to the recycling facility.

I wrote a blog last week about how nice it would be If Celebrities Endorsed Organic Food Products instead of coming up with their own line of expensive jeans, smelly cologne or overpriced shoes.
Just think how much better our world would be if celebrities used their money and status to endorse healthy products instead of products that half of us could never afford to buy anyways.
Unlike designer handbags and digital cameras, food is something we all need. So here is some more wishful thinking for celebrities that I would like to see endorse organic food products:

If you don’t know who Captain Planet is, then you must be from another planet! Captain Planet and his Planeteers graced our t.v. screens in the early 1990’s to entertain and educate audiences about the importance of protecting our planet. Even though he had blue skin and a green mullet, he was still the hippest superhero around.
So why did Hollywood never make a movie about Captain Planet? Now would be the perfect time to praise the environmental awareness that Captain Planet brings to families everywhere, especially with the threat of global warming and a continued rise in greenhouse gas emissions worldwide.
Since no movie has ever been made, I decided to pick my top 2 candidates for the role of Captain Planet. I’ll list the pros for both, so you can decide!

It seems that every celebrity nowadays has his or her own “side business” going on. George Foreman has his grills. Lil’ Wayne has his as well. J-lo has her clothing line. Scarlett Johansson has an album (with horrible reviews). Keanu Reeves and Jared Leo have their own band. Donald Trump has….everything.
I really like the celebrities that endorse eco-friendly products. Especially food products, because everyone likes food. Look at Paul Newman and his salad dressing. Very tasty stuff.
So I decided to make up a few of my own organic products that would be endorsed by celebrities. Yes, you thought I was crazy when I said that Amy Winehouse would make a good eco-spokesperson. But when you read my post you were convinced. Right?
Well if you weren’t before, now you will be. I will convince you that these celebrities could one day endorse organic food products.

Referring to my post “Why Amy Winehouse Should Be An Eco-Spokesperson.”
She is now diagnosed with emphysema, a deadly lung disease caused by smoking.
Was your album, Back to Black, about the state of your lungs?
Oh Amy, now you know how the trees feel when they struggle to breathe!

I recently came across an article titled “44 Surprising Things You Can Eat - From Gold Pills to Deodorant.” It was truly amazing to see how many things could actually be ingested by a human being.
The items listed in the article are great because they not only taste good, but they’re also great for the environment! Instead of being thrown away and winding up in our overcrowded landfills, they go straight to your stomach. Now that’s the true definition of waste-free.
The article got me connecting its content with the world of pop culture. So I decided to pick a few of my favorite items and see how a true pop icon would use them.
And the 8 edible items and pop icons are:
Flavor of Gold
Flavor Flav, you know that we love your dazzling golden smile and all the oversized bling hanging from your neck, but can’t you just take some of these 24K gold pills at $275 a pop and shine from the inside?

It’s official: Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Leona Lewis, the first British artist to top the U.S. charts, have been named the sexiest famous vegetarians of 2008.
Some aesthetically appealing runner-ups include: Alicia Silverstone, Alyssa Milano, Erykah Badu, Natalie Portman and Pamela Anderson for the gals, and Andre 3000, Jared Leto, Mos Def, Prince, Thom Yorke and Tobey Maguire for the fellows.
With a lineup like that, it obviously proves that a healthy diet of fresh fruits and vegetables has a much better impact on your appearance than plastic surgery, right?
So I got to thinking how it’s so unfair that only good-looking famous people are considered “sexy” or “cool” when they are vegetarian. There are plenty of other non-attractive celebrities that go green by not eating meat.
